Honestly, this is wonderful! We've designed this trip for women to be in community while they consider their own story. Women who choose to come have similar desires and enter night one ready to experience the fullness of the trip with one another. We'll have three zoom calls beforehand to get acquainted, but we guarantee you will not feel like strangers for long!

A $500 deposit secures your spot and is nonrefundable.*

Early Bird Pricing ($3990) is available until February 1st if paid in full and by check.

After February 1st, the total amount is $4290 if paying by check (2% credit card fees apply if paying by card).

After your $500 deposit, $1895, the first half of the remainder, is due by April 1st and refundable at 50% until May 1st. 

The full remainder is due by June 1st and is nonrefundable from this point. ($1895 due)

If you need to figure out a smaller, monthly payment plan, we can talk specifically about how to do that.

*If for any reason, we cancel the trip after April 1st (due to pandemic, natural disaster, or political unrest) your deposit is refundable at 100% and/or credited to the rescheduled trip. Any remainder you have paid is 100% refundable.

Turks love Americans. They are always amazed when they hear that we have traveled from the US to see their beautiful country. Most tourists are German, British, and Korean. Most speak a little English, especially in the tourist areas where we will be. 

Unrest in Turkey is political and we will stay abreast of anything going on in places where we will be. 

While we cannot offer a 100% guarantee that nothing will go wrong, we would not be able to do so no matter where we go, including an American city.

Fly into Istanbul International Airport (IST) and land on Saturday, September 14th around 4pm. You will meet the group after passport control for transport to our hotel.

The group will be transported to Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport on Monday, September 23rd arriving at 6am. You can fly directly from Izmir, or arrange a domestic flight to Istanbul and fly from there (please note there are two airports in Istanbul). This is your responsibility.

This truly is a physical trip and if you are concerned, let's talk.

We walk a lot! In Istanbul alone we walk 15k steps per day on cobblestone and up and down hills. 

In Cappadocia, we will be climbing in caves and narrow passages. 

There may be crowded trams or trolleys that require shoving and standing uncomfortably close to people.

We've had participants with chronic pain hang in there, but I'd like to discuss any unique concerns you might have.

There is a lot of gluten, dairy, and meat in Turkish food! However, everywhere we eat will have salad options. Your options may be limited in certain places, but there will food for you! This trip may not be for you if this is a big concern.

Nope. No need. Almost everywhere you go will take credit cards. If you need cash, you can use an ATM machine and receive Turkish Lira OR you can change dollars for Turkish Lira at a DOVIZ (or currency exchange).

You will need to bring US dollars if you want to do the Hot Air Balloon.

Please visit a company such as World Nomads to determine which sort of trip insurance you feel most comfortable purchasing. You'll want to make sure you have medical coverage.

We suggest light weight pants and comfortable shoes. You should bring casual wear for dinner.

The Haghia Sophia has been converted into a Mosque again and so you will want to cover your legs, shoulders, and head.

Make sure you pack comfortable shoes with grip!!! The cobblestone in Istanbul and the marble in Ephesus can be brutal on the feet. 

Women wear bikinis, so feel free to pack whatever kind of bathing suit feels most comfortable. Some women wear bikinis in the Hamam, some just wear the bottoms, most wear nothing. 

Yes, better than many places in the States. Every hotel will have wifi and if you check with your phone carrier, you can unlock an international data plan for the week to have access in most parts of the country. Buying sim cards at the airport has not seemed to work for others.
